My name is Ed Davis. I was born in Torrington, CT and have lived in Connecticut all my life. Attended Southington High School and Waterbury State Tech. Started my own technology business, Systems Support Group, Inc. in 1983. I have a lovely (and tolerant) wife, 1 son and 2 daughters that I am extremely proud of and 9 grand kids that remind me what life is really about every day.
Much to my wife’s dismay, I have many interests. I’ve always been into music and have played guitar in several bands. I like all kinds of music with great guitar and/or vocals. Started experimenting with cooking several years ago. Attended The Culinary Institute of America on weekends. Most of my food is pretty good….most. Became interested in photography a few years ago before we took a trip to Paris. I have taken some pretty nice shots…. some. I shoot with a Nikon D7000. Technology is my passion. It’s what my business is involved with. I love helping our Clients use technology to enhance their businesses. As a business owner for over 30 years, I really love managing my business as well. As my role in Systems Support Group, Inc. has progressed over the years, the challenges and responsibilities have changed and I enjoy meeting them.
I like to write but am not great at it. I do have my days though. I’ve started this, my second blog, to put some of my thoughts, ideas and experiences about my passions out there. I am truly interested in your thoughts and ideas on these subjects as well so please leave your comments on my posts. I appreciate you taking the time to stop by.
And remember…. You can’t be passionate about mediocre!
